Oral Microbiology and Immunology Group (OMIG)
The mouth is home to a complex microbiota in dynamic
interaction with the host immune response. Investigation of this
ecosystem is not only the realm of microbiologists interested in oral
microorganisms and biofilm formation but also immunologists who study
mucosal immunity as well as oral biologists and clinicians keen to
understand the fundamental determinants of oral health and disease. The
aim of the Oral Microbiology and Immunology Group (OMIG) is to provide
a forum to promote interest and research in these important areas of
biology and biomedical science. We hold regular meetings of our own and
arrange symposia at meetings of the British Society for Oral and Dental
Research.

To join OMIG
We welcome membership applications from the academic, industrial and
health care communities.
- IADR members pay $8/year to IADR to join the British Division of Microbiology and Immunology (BDMI / OMIG) - this is done at the time of renewal of their IADR membership.
- Non-IADR members pay £10/year by standing order directly to OMIG using the form below.
- Membership is free to post-graduate students, who can continue to join directly via OMIG.
