BSDR success in Hatton Awards at the Miami IADR 2009
The BSDR continued its strong performances in the IADR Hatton Awards at the
87th General session in Miami, Florida. Suttipalin Suwannakul a PhD student
in oral and maxillofacial pathology was runner-up in the prestigious
Unilever Senior Hatton (Basic Science category) competition for her work
entitled 'Subtypes of Porphyromonas gingivalis that differ in epithelial
cell invasion'.
The project was supervised by Ian Douglas, Graham Stafford and Simon Whawell
at the School of Clinical Dentistry, University of Sheffield.
